Structure Fire Advice in SPENCERS BROOK in the SHIRE OF NORTHAM

ALERT LEVEL

  • There is a structure fire on Rose Terrace in SPENCERS BROOK in the SHIRE OF NORTHAM.
  • There is a residential fire resulting in potentially dangerous smoke being blown in a south easterly direction towards the Spencers Brook Townsite.
  • There is a lot of smoke in the area

WHAT TO DO

  • As a precautionary measure, people in the area should remain inside, out of the smoke or fumes, with doors and windows closed. Air conditioners should also be switched off.
  • People should stay away from the area. If you are already in the area take advice from emergency services personnel.
  • People with medical concerns should contact their local doctor or call 1800MEDICARE (1800 633 422 ).

ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS

Roads have been closed including:
  • Rose Terrace

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully. Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map , calling 138 138  or by contacting your Local Government Authority.

WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING

  • Firefighters are actively fighting the fire.

KEEP UP TO DATE

During a power outage, your home phone, computer or other electronic devices connected to the NBN will not work. Include a battery powered radio in your emergency kit.
